Upgrading of Car Batteries

Target

  • Environmental friendly disposal of car batteries
  • Separation of lead from waste
  • Producing liquid fuel for easier/safetier storage

Products

  • Permanent gas: Mainly H2, CH4, CO, CO2
  • Condensate oil: Due to process conditions and input educt from light oil to heavy oil/tar
  • Condensate water: Due to process temperature from acid to alcalic; amount depending of plastic material
  • Solids: lead pearls and small amount of clean carbon black

Advantages DGE Basic Technology

  • Continuous process for highest quality and stability
  • Simply chlorine (PVC) and sulphur (acid) binding in solids
  • Gravimetrical separation of lead
  • No critical emissions

Needed Pre Treatment

  • Drying: not needed
  • Crushing: suggested to grain size less 25mm
  • Compacting: not needed
  • Sorting: separation of lead plates not needed

Post Treatment by Partners

  • Heavy oil burner for all condensate oil qualities
  • Metall melting
